The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York (NYC PBA) is the largest labor union representing police officers of the New York City Police Department. It represents about 24,000 of the department's 36,000 officers. The union was unable to reach a labor contract with the city between 2012  Fighting for a Fair Contract. The PBA is fighting to restore New York City police officers to their rightful place among the highest paid police officers in the nation.
